Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) announced its H15 server portfolio powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC 9006 Series CPUs, according to a company press release dated July 23, 2026.

The H15 lineup supports up to 256 cores and 512 threads per system. AMD claims a 1.7x generational CPU performance improvement based on SPECInt Rate 2017 benchmarks. The portfolio also features 33% more cores, 2x PCIe bandwidth, and 2.6x higher memory bandwidth compared to prior generation systems.

The H15 portfolio includes several form factors: the dual-socket Hyper platform for enterprise and AI inference workloads; CloudDC single- and dual-socket servers built to Open Compute Project specifications; GrandTwin, a 2U four-node system for scale-out storage and virtualization; FlexTwin, a liquid-cooled 1U two-node system; Petascale Storage platforms supporting up to 4.8 petabytes per system; and the SuperBlade H15, an 8U blade system supporting CPU and GPU configurations in air- and liquid-cooled versions.

Supermicro is also expanding its GPU-based offerings. Two new 5U PCIe GPU servers, the AS-5126GS-TNRT and AS-5126GS-TNRT2, support up to ten AMD Instinct MI350P GPUs, each featuring up to 144GB of HBM3e memory. The systems are designed for air-cooled data center environments.

The company is collaborating with AMD on the Supermicro AMD Helios Platform, a 72-GPU liquid-cooled rack-scale system combining AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, 6th Gen EPYC processors, AMD Pensando networking, and the AMD ROCm software stack, targeting large-scale AI training and high-throughput inference workloads.

Networking support is provided through the AMD Pensando Pollara 400 AI NIC, which offers open Ethernet connectivity designed for AI training and inference clusters.

Dan McNamara, senior vice president and general manager of Compute and Enterprise AI at AMD, stated the combined platform aims to help customers "deploy AI infrastructure faster while improving utilization, reducing energy consumption, and lowering total cost of ownership."
