National Airlines has committed to purchasing seven engines from GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE), including one GE90-110B and six CF6-80C2 units, to power its Boeing 777F and 747F cargo aircraft, according to a press release issued July 23, 2026.

The order adds to an existing inventory of 38 GE Aerospace engines already operated by National Airlines, comprising 30 CF6 and eight GE90 units. The airline's fleet currently includes nine Boeing 747-400 freighters and four Boeing 777-200 freighters.

Mohamed Ali, President and CEO of GE Aerospace Commercial Engines and Services, said, "We're thrilled that National Airlines continues to invest in our engines after recently purchasing eight GE90 engines. These additional engines will help National meet growing cargo demand and demonstrates their continued confidence in these aircraft-engine combinations."

National Airlines Chairman Chris Alf said, "Reliability, performance, and consistency are the foundation of successful air cargo operations, which is why National Airlines has built its freighter fleet around GE Aerospace engine technology."

The GE90 engine family is the exclusive powerplant on the Boeing 777-300ER, -200LR, and Freighter variants. GE Aerospace states its CF6 turbofan engines power nearly 70% of widebody aircraft dedicated to cargo operations globally.
