BitGo Prime launches Global Liquidity Layer for institutional trading

July 23, 2026 8:04 AM

BitGo Prime, LLC, a subsidiary of BitGo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BTGO), has introduced the Global Liquidity Layer, a trading infrastructure that connects institutional clients to digital asset markets through a single platform, according to a company statement.

The system connects clients to exchanges, market makers, over-the-counter counterparties, and regional liquidity providers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. It supports programmatic access through REST, FIX, and WebSocket APIs, as well as Order and Execution Management System integrations and a web-based trading platform.

For larger transactions, BitGo Prime offers an OTC trading desk providing block trading, financing solutions, basis trades, and structured products. The platform also includes integrated transaction cost analysis and execution reporting tools.

"Institutions want infrastructure that simplifies how they operate across global liquidity, financing, collateral, settlement, and asset security without stitching together multiple providers," said Adam Sporn, Head of Prime Brokerage and U.S. Institutional Sales.

Beyond trade execution, BitGo Prime incorporates financing, collateral management, and settlement services. Clients can access collateralized borrowing and lending, portfolio-based financing, and tri-party collateral management, with eligible collateral held in segregated custody under BitGo's regulated custodian entity.

Settlement is handled through Go Network, BitGo's proprietary infrastructure for moving fiat and digital assets across its custody network.

"Institutional clients expect confidence in how orders are executed, transparency into pricing and costs, and the flexibility to manage assets in the way that best fits their business," said Matt Ballensweig, Managing Director and Head of BitGo Prime Trading.
