QSE signs Malaysia MOA to localize its post-quantum platform
Quantum Secure Encryption Corp. (CSE: QSE) (OTCQB: QSEGF) (FSE: VN80) has signed a memorandum of agreement with an unnamed Malaysia-based digital trust and certificate-management provider to develop a localized version of its QPrime cybersecurity platform, according to a company statement.
The agreement targets Malaysia's National Critical Information Infrastructure organizations, which are subject to requirements under Malaysia's Cyber Security Act 2024, known as Act 854. Sectors covered under the act include government, financial services, energy, healthcare, communications, and transportation.
Under the agreement, the two parties intend to adapt QPrime — a platform designed to help organizations identify encryption usage and quantum-related exposure — for Malaysian regulatory requirements. The localized version is also intended to be hosted on Malaysian sovereign infrastructure, keeping data residency within the country.
"Malaysia's NCII organizations need practical tools to understand their cybersecurity exposure, prepare for Act 854 and plan for post-quantum risk," said Ted Carefoot, Chief Executive Officer of QSE. "By working with a Malaysian digital trust provider and supporting local data residency, we believe QPrime can become a practical starting point for organizations that need to move from awareness to action."
The Vancouver-based company said the agreement is part of a broader strategy to scale its platform through regional partners by adapting to local regulatory and data-residency requirements rather than offering a single standardized product.
