S&P Global takes minority stake in Farsight for Capital IQ Pro AI tool

July 23, 2026 8:00 AM

S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI), announced a strategic partnership and minority investment in Farsight, a platform for generating client-ready financial documents, according to a press release issued July 23, 2026.

The partnership will add an AI-powered capability to Capital IQ Pro, S&P Global's financial data platform. The new tool is expected to be available later in 2026 as an add-on to existing Capital IQ Pro subscriptions.

The capability is designed to allow bankers and investors to generate pitch decks, confidential information memoranda, and valuation materials within Capital IQ Pro. The tool draws on a firm's prior work, templates, and standards to produce tailored documents.

Sally Moore, Chief Client Officer and Co-Head of Market Intelligence at Kensho Data & Platforms, said the capability is intended to help clients "move from insight to action with speed and confidence" by combining S&P Global's data with document creation tools.

Samir Dutta, CEO of Farsight, said the partnership is aimed at helping firms "turn that data into client-ready work that reflects how they think, advise and make decisions."

The new feature is part of S&P Global's recently restructured Kensho Data & Platforms unit, which combines Capital IQ Pro and other client interfaces under a single operating model focused on AI-based workflow tools. Financial terms of the minority investment were not disclosed.
