Granite (NYSE: GVA) has been awarded an approximately $50 million contract by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) to replace the spillway at the Tiger Creek Regulator Dam in Amador County, California, near Pioneer.

The project is part of PG&E's Mokelumne River Hydroelectric Project and involves replacing an existing structure at the dam, which was originally constructed in 1931. The contract will be included in Granite's second quarter 2026 construction activity pipeline.

Granite's scope of work includes constructing a new spillway crest structure and chute, installing a temporary cofferdam, excavation and rock anchoring, placement of mass and structural concrete, and decommissioning the existing spillway. The project also includes construction of a permanent access road.

Construction began in May 2026, with completion anticipated in May 2028. A separate preconstruction contract completed in 2024, valued at approximately $600,000, supported early planning efforts for the project.
