Consolidated Water gets Hawaii go-ahead, wins $10.1M Florida order

July 22, 2026 4:06 PM

Consolidated Water Co. Ltd. (NASDAQ: CWCO) announced it received a Limited Notice to Proceed from the Honolulu Board of Water Supply for its Kalaeloa seawater desalination project in Hawaii, and separately received purchase orders totaling approximately $10.1 million for municipal water treatment equipment in Florida.

The Limited Notice to Proceed authorizes the procurement of long-lead equipment for the Kalaeloa seawater reverse osmosis desalination facility, releasing approximately $6 million in project funds. Construction has not yet been scheduled due to permitting delays outside the control of both Consolidated Water and the Board of Water Supply.

The Kalaeloa facility is designed to produce 1.7 million gallons of potable water per day. Following commissioning, Consolidated Water is contracted to operate and maintain the facility for 20 years, with two additional five-year extension options at the client's discretion.

In a separate development, the company received purchase orders from a municipality on Florida's east coast to design, fabricate, and deliver nanofiltration membrane water treatment equipment and horizontal cartridge filters. The company described the orders as its largest to date for municipal membrane-based water treatment equipment and for its horizontal cartridge filter line. Delivery is scheduled for November 2027.

"The Limited Notice to Proceed reflects our Hawaii client's continued commitment to advancing the Kalaeloa desalination facility while we manage permitting matters that are outside the control of both parties," said CEO Rick McTaggart in a statement based on the press release.
