July 22, 2026 9:24 AM

Allison Transmission Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ALSN) announced it will supply fully automatic transmissions to General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) for approximately 3,000 EAGLE V armored vehicles ordered by the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The contract also includes an option for up to 2,000 additional vehicles.

The order covers both EAGLE V 4x4 command and control vehicles and EAGLE V 6x6 medium armored ambulance vehicles. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027 and will be handled through Sterki AG, Allison's authorized dealer and distributor in Switzerland.

The Allison 2500 Specialty Series (SP) fully automatic transmission is the exclusive transmission option across all EAGLE variants. GDELS has used Allison transmissions since production of the predecessor EAGLE IV began in 2005.

The Bundeswehr has procured approximately 670 vehicles from the EAGLE IV and EAGLE V families since 2008. An earlier order of 80 EAGLE V 6x6 protected ambulance vehicles began delivery in May 2025.

Taner Gider, Executive Director of EMEA Sales at Allison Transmission, said: "Allison is honored that GDELS entrusts the reliability and performance of our transmissions."

Allison Transmission is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.
