Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC) announced the appointment of Shimna Sameer as head of Truist Wealth, according to a press release issued July 22, 2026.

Sameer brings more than 20 years of experience in consumer banking, wealth management, and private banking. She most recently served as head of products, solutions and platforms at Bank of America Private Bank, where she oversaw digital platforms, business and talent strategies, and client experience. She also previously worked at Merrill Edge, where she developed strategy for the sales organization, digital solutions, and talent development.

In her new role, Sameer will oversee business strategy, advisor and client experience, technology investment, and enterprise partnerships for Truist Wealth, which serves affluent, high, and ultra-high net worth individuals, families, and business owners in the U.S. and abroad.

Sameer is set to join Truist in October, reporting to Chief Wholesale Banking Officer Kristin Lesher. She will be based at Truist's Hudson Yards offices in New York City and will serve as a member of the Truist Operating Council.

Truist reported total assets of $556 billion as of June 30, 2026.
