Prairie Operating Co. adds Jennifer Grigsby to its board of directors

Prairie Operating Co. (Nasdaq: PROP) appointed Jennifer M. Grigsby to its board of directors, the Houston-based oil and gas company announced. Separately, board member Stephen Lee resigned to focus on his role as Co-CEO of Renewa.



Grigsby brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate finance, capital markets, and governance. She currently serves on the boards of First Busey Corporation (Nasdaq: BUSE), Superior Plus Corp. (TSX: SPB), and CompSource Mutual Insurance Company.



Previously, Grigsby served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ascent Resources, where she oversaw accounting, treasury, risk management, and corporate finance. Before that, she spent nearly two decades at Chesapeake Energy Corporation in senior roles including Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary, and Senior Vice President of Corporate and Strategic Planning.



She also served as Oklahoma's Secretary of Economic Administration, overseeing more than 20 state agencies. Grigsby holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the National Association of Corporate Directors Directorship Certification.



Prairie Operating Co. focuses on oil and natural gas development in the Denver-Julesburg Basin, with operations concentrated in the Niobrara and Codell formations.
