KKR (NYSE: KKR) has appointed Roy Gori, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife, as a Senior Advisor to the firm, according to a press release.

Gori, who led Manulife from 2017 until his retirement in 2025, will advise KKR on strategic opportunities across global financial services and insurance, with a focus on Asia Pacific and international markets. His advisory scope includes insurance, wealth management, banking, distribution, and related financial services platforms.

Gori brings more than three decades of experience in insurance, wealth management, and retail financial services across Asia Pacific, North America, and other regions. Before becoming Manulife's CEO, he served as President and CEO of Manulife Asia, overseeing operations across 12 markets. He began his career at Citibank in 1989, where he eventually led the firm's Asia Pacific retail business.

In his new role, Gori will work with KKR's senior leadership and investment professionals, providing guidance on market structure, regulatory environments, distribution models, and international partnerships.

Gori holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from the University of Technology, Sydney.
