Investing.com - Boeing (NYSE: BA) won a $42.9 million contract from the U.S. Department of War to upgrade C-17 aircraft for the United Arab Emirates, the department announced.

The firm-fixed-price contract covers performance of all work required to upgrade configurations into United Arab Emirates C-17 aircraft with Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures. Work will be performed in San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by August 2030.

The contract involves Foreign Military Sales for the United Arab Emirates. The full $42,932,563 in Foreign Military Sales funds is being obligated at time of award.

The contract was awarded as a sole source acquisition. The Boeing Co. is based in Long Beach, California.

The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center in Warner Robins, Georgia, is the contracting activity under designation FA8526-26-F-B005.
