Pratt & Whitney Canada, a unit of RTX (NYSE: RTX), announced a CA$275 million investment to expand manufacturing operations at its Longueuil, Quebec facility, the company's global headquarters and largest manufacturing site.

The investment, announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, will be funded by Pratt & Whitney Canada with financial support from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and Quebec's Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie.

The Longueuil facility employs nearly 4,500 workers and produces engines for regional, business, general aviation and rotorcraft platforms. Planned upgrades include automated production lines, modernized machinery and digital manufacturing processes.

Satheeshkumar Kumarasingam, president of Pratt & Whitney Canada, said the investment "strengthens our industrial capacity, enabling us to better support our customers and meet growing global demand."
