Kemper names Eric Kappler as EVP and president of P&C unit
Kemper Corporation (NYSE: KMPR) has appointed Eric Kappler as Executive Vice President and President, P&C, effective July 30, according to a press release from the Chicago-based insurer.
Kappler will lead Kemper's P&C organization, which includes specialty personal and commercial vehicle lines and P&C claims operations. He will report to President and CEO Stephen J. McAnena. Kappler succeeds Matthew Hunton, who has departed the company.
Kappler most recently served as President of Bristol West Insurance, where he led what the company describes as a multibillion-dollar business. He brings more than two decades of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, with a focus on the non-standard auto market.
"Eric is an accomplished insurance executive with deep experience in our business and an impressive record of delivering results," McAnena said in the statement.
"Kemper has a meaningful opportunity to build on its strengths, and I look forward to working with Steve and the P&C team to help move the business forward," Kappler said.
