Regions Financial (RF) PT Raised to $35 at Cantor Fitzgerald on Raised EPS Estimate
Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Dave Rochester raised the price target on Regions Financial (NYSE: RF) to $35.00 (from $34.00) while maintaining a Overweight rating.
The analyst commented, "We are reiterating our Overweight rating on shares of RF, raising our 12-month price target by $1 to $35, and adjusting our FY26/27 core EPS estimates to $2.68/$2.95 from $2.63/$2.95, with our modestly higher FY26 core EPS reflecting lower provision vs. our prior estimates. Post call, we came away feeling better about the longer-term NIM outlook based on mgmt. commentary, and given our capital/buyback model, it would appear that buyback volume could easily rebound in 3Q26 vs. the more depressed 2Q26 pace, with further upside in 4Q26/1Q27 likely, according to our analysis, in-line with mgmt. comments suggesting the potential for a rebound without a securities repositioning and including the higher dividend, given the strong capital generation of the bank. Lastly, loan growth is unlikely to eclipse 1H26 growth in 2H26, but given strong pipelines, we expect growth remains healthy, which should remain a driver of solid NII growth through the end of FY26."
