Woodward (NASDAQ: WWD) has inaugurated an expanded manufacturing facility in Glatten, Germany, increasing production capacity for high-speed fuel injection systems by 50 percent, according to a company press release.

The approximately 3,000-square-meter expansion is designed to serve demand from original equipment manufacturer customers in the power generation, marine transportation, and oil and gas sectors. The site incorporates automation, digital manufacturing technologies, and Lean manufacturing practices.

The inauguration included employees, customers, community leaders, and government representatives. Attendees included Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Baden-Württemberg's Minister for Economic Affairs, Skilled Crafts and Tourism; Katrin Schindele, member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament; and Tore-Derek Pfeifer, Mayor of Glatten.

Steffen Doelker, Vice President and General Manager of Woodward's Diesel Fuel Systems Business Unit, said: "The expansion of our Glatten factory demonstrates Woodward's commitment to operational excellence as we deliver on market growth.
