Investing.com -- Shohin Airlines has placed its first order with Airbus for four A320neo Family aircraft, the Tajikistan-based carrier announced. The deal includes two A320neo and two A321neo planes.

The agreement appeared in Airbus' end of June order book as an undisclosed order. Shohin Airlines, a private carrier based in Dushanbe, was registered in June 2025.

The A320neo aircraft will be configured with 176 seats while the A321neo will have 196 seats, both in a dual class layout. The airline plans to use these aircraft to launch services to regional and global markets.

Zafar Ahmadzoda, Chief Executive Officer of Shohin Airlines, said the contract represents a milestone for both the airline and Tajikistan's civil aviation sector. He stated the A320neo Family aircraft will form the backbone of the airline's fleet as it works to expand Tajikistan's international air connectivity.

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business, said the company is honored that Shohin Airlines selected Airbus for its launch operations. He added that Airbus will support the airline's goal to connect Tajikistan to the world.

The airline has stated its objective to build a route network and establish a brand representing Tajikistan in global aviation.
