Comstock Inc. (NYSE American: LODE) subsidiary Comstock Metals LLC has entered into a Solar Material Recycling Services Agreement with Illuminate USA LLC, according to a press release from the company.

Under the agreement, Comstock Metals will provide recycling services for solar panel manufacturing byproducts from Illuminate USA's facility in Pataskala, Ohio. Services include transportation, sorting, and recycling of materials generated during the manufacturing process. The two companies said they expect to work together over the next few years across various material streams.

Illuminate USA operates a 1.1 million square foot solar panel manufacturing facility in Pataskala, which the company describes as the largest single-site solar panel manufacturing facility in North America. The facility began production in February 2024 and has produced more than 15 million solar panels, with a reported annual capacity of five gigawatts and a workforce of over 1,600 people.

Comstock Metals, based in Nevada, specializes in zero-landfill recycling of solar panels and related equipment. The company said it operates a recycling network that includes a presence in Central Ohio.

"By providing a zero-landfill solution for solar panel manufacturing byproducts, we are helping Illuminate USA ensure that all materials are safely repurposed into new industrial goods," said Dr. Fortunato Villamagna, President of Comstock Metals.

Bryan Kresak, Illuminate USA's Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety and Facilities, said the partnership "strengthens our commitment to environmental responsibility."
