Pratt & Whitney Canada, a unit of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has signed a nearly five-year maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) contract with Emerald Airlines to service PW127M engines on the airline's ATR 72-600 turboprop fleet, according to a press release issued at the Farnborough International Airshow.

The agreement runs through 2030 and covers comprehensive engine support. Maintenance work will be carried out primarily at Pratt & Whitney Canada's Singapore facility, with additional support from its Montreal location.

Anthony Rossi, vice president at Pratt & Whitney Canada, said the agreement was designed to "optimize their future engine maintenance costs, deliver dependable performance and dispatch availability."

Richard Spencer, chief operating officer of Emerald Airlines, said the deal provides "long-term certainty across our fleet" and delivers "predictable costs and the ability to plan our operations with confidence." He added that the structure aligns with the requirements of the airline's aircraft lessors.

Established in 2021, Emerald Airlines operates the Aer Lingus Regional route network, connecting Ireland, the UK, and France.
