UnitedHealth Group (UNH) PT Raised to $493 at Mizuho
Mizuho analyst Ann Hynes raised the price target on UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) to $493.00 (from $470.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
The analyst comments "We are raising our 2026E-2028E adjusted EPS estimates by +10%, +17%, and +17%, supported by a solid EPS beat driven by better-than-expected MLR and strength in Optum Health operating income. Though UNH noted that Commercial recovery is now expected to take longer than previously anticipated, trends in Medicare Advantage (MA) are progressing better-than-initial expectations. On Optum, the three business segments were in-line or better than our expectations. The company also reiterated its long-term 13-16% earnings growth framework through 2028, supported by margin recovery in the Healthcare Benefits segment, helped by improved pricing coupled with productivity and technology-driven efficiencies. Looking forward, we believe the next key release for UNH is going to be MA Star Ratings for payment year 2028, which are expected to release in October. We reiterate our Outperform rating."
