Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has selected the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine, made by RTX (NYSE: RTX), to power an undisclosed number of Airbus A320neo family aircraft, according to a press release issued at the Farnborough International Airshow.

JSA currently operates a portfolio of 91 GTF-powered A320neo family aircraft and 11 V2500-powered A320ceos. The lessor's total owned, committed, and managed fleet stands at 344 aircraft, serving 64 airlines across 34 countries.

"GTF engines have been instrumental to our growth strategy for fleet and customer base expansion," said Kevin McDonald, CEO of Jackson Square Aviation.

Rick Deurloo, president of Commercial Engines at Pratt & Whitney, said the order "underscores continued confidence in the GTF engine" and builds on the company's existing relationship with JSA.

Pratt & Whitney states the GTF engine delivers 20% lower fuel consumption and a 75% smaller noise footprint compared to the prior generation of engines. More than 2,800 GTF-powered aircraft are currently operated globally by more than 90 customers, and the engine's order backlog stands at over 8,000 units.

JSA is part of the Mitsubishi HC Capital group, which is publicly listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Pratt & Whitney is a business unit of RTX, which reported 2025 sales of more than $88 billion.
