SuanNutra, a natural ingredients company backed by private equity firm Carbyne Equity Partners, has signed an agreement to acquire a portfolio of specialty natural ingredients businesses from IFF (NYSE: IFF), according to a press release issued July 20, 2026.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory clearances and customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquired businesses include clinically supported branded ingredients, botanical extraction operations, fermented vitamins and minerals, and plant-derived natural colors, antioxidants, and flavors. These will be merged into SuanNutra's existing operations.

The combined group will have approximately 700 employees serving more than 1,200 customers across more than 60 countries. Manufacturing operations will span botanical extraction facilities in Spain, Slovenia, and Peru, as well as fermentation operations in the United States.

Anthony Weston, Group CEO of SuanNutra, said: "Together we will build, grow and transform this group into a stronger partner for our customers offering manufacturing at source, clinically proven ingredients, and a broad natural portfolio across nutraceuticals and food enhancement."
