Fresenius Medical Care launches cloud analytics tool for ICU kidney care
Fresenius Medical Care (NYSE: FMS) has introduced TherapyWise™, a cloud-based analytics capability integrated within its NxView™ 4.0 software platform, which is FDA 510(k)-cleared for use with the NxStage® System One™ in the United States.
According to a company statement, TherapyWise aggregates therapy and device data generated during kidney replacement therapy (KRT) in acute and hospital critical care settings, presenting program-level metrics in longitudinal summaries. These metrics include average delivered dose compared with set dose, average treatment time per cartridge, and alarm frequency trends.
The platform transmits data from the NxStage System One with NxView to a cloud-based environment, where information is displayed across predefined performance indicators. Fresenius Medical Care noted the software is intended for retrospective program review and is not designed for real-time, patient-specific clinical decision-making.
Joe Turk, Chief Executive Officer of Care Enablement at Fresenius Medical Care, said the platform is aimed at giving "hospital and clinical leaders visibility into how kidney replacement therapy is delivered across their organizations, supporting informed discussions around workflow, consistency, and quality improvement."
TherapyWise is available as part of the NxView 4.0 software platform in the United States.
