Cunard announced plans to send its Queen Victoria cruise ship into dry dock at Damen Shiprepair in Rotterdam from October 17 to November 5, 2026, for a three-week refit. The ship is expected to return to service on November 7, 2026.

The refurbishment will include updates to the Grand Lobby, the Queens Room, and the Cunard Grill Suites, which will receive new furnishings and design changes. The work will also add eight new Britannia staterooms, including three in a new category called Britannia Deluxe Oceanview, which will feature floor-to-ceiling windows. Those staterooms went on sale July 20 for voyages beginning November 11, 2026.

The refit will also introduce The Pavilion Wellness Café to Queen Victoria, a dining venue serving breakfast, lunch, and daytime meals with a menu that includes plant-based options alongside sustainably sourced meat, fish, and dairy. According to the company, the same concept was previously introduced on Queen Anne in 2024 and Queen Elizabeth in 2025.

"Queen Victoria has always held a special place in the hearts of our guests," said Katie McAlister, President of Cunard. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to refine the experiences and spaces she offers, with every decision approached with deep respect for the heritage and charm that make her who she is."

Following the refit, Queen Victoria is scheduled to sail a 2027 program that includes voyages to the Mediterranean, the Norwegian Fjords, and the Canary Islands. Cunard is part of Carnival Corporation (NYSE: CCL).
