Redwire Corporation (NYSE: RDW) announced an expansion of its Huntsville, Alabama campus, adding 164,000 square feet of manufacturing and engineering space. The announcement was made at the Farnborough Airshow in England.

The project is supported by approximately $8.5 million in state and local economic development incentives and is expected to create around 150 jobs in engineering, manufacturing, integration, and technical operations. Construction has begun, with completion expected by the fourth quarter of 2027.

The expanded facility will be used to produce Stalker unmanned aerial systems, Octopus gimbal payloads, advanced energy solutions, and space infrastructure products.

"Expanding the footprint Redwire has established in Huntsville reflects the momentum we're seeing across both Redwire Space and Defense Tech," said Peter Cannito, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Redwire.

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle both commented on the expansion. "Redwire's continued investment is another strong vote of confidence in Huntsville's world-class aerospace and defense ecosystem, creating 150 new high-quality jobs while building on the talented team already here," said Mayor Battle.

Redwire employs approximately 1,400 people across North America and Europe.
