Kayne Anderson prices $65M private placement of notes and shares
Kayne Anderson Energy Infrastructure Fund, Inc. (NYSE: KYN) has agreed to a private placement of $50 million in senior unsecured notes and $15 million in mandatory redeemable preferred shares with institutional investors, according to a company statement.
The placement is structured across three series. The $25 million Series CCC notes carry a fixed interest rate of 5.12% and mature in July 2029. The $25 million Series DDD notes carry a 5.25% rate and mature in July 2031. The $15 million Series Y mandatory redeemable preferred shares carry a 5.70% dividend rate with a mandatory redemption date of December 2031.
The notes are expected to fund at closing on or about July 30, 2026, while the preferred shares are expected to fund on a delayed basis on October 30, 2026. The company said it intends to use net proceeds to refinance existing leverage and for general corporate purposes.
Closing remains subject to investor due diligence, legal documentation, and other standard conditions. The notes and preferred shares will not be registered under the Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold in the United States without registration or an applicable exemption.
