ArcBest to consolidate brands, cut 2% of positions for $40M savings
ArcBest (Nasdaq: ARCB) announced a restructuring of its brand structure and organizational operations, with several subsidiaries set to be absorbed under the ArcBest name by Aug. 1, 2026.
According to a company press release, MoLo Solutions, Panther Premium Logistics, and ArcBest Technologies will cease operating under their respective names and instead operate under the ArcBest brand. The ABF Freight brand will remain as ArcBest's less-than-truckload carrier.
As part of the reorganization, ArcBest said it will reduce approximately 2% of total positions through workforce reductions and the elimination of certain open roles. The company also plans to consolidate select service centers representing approximately 1% of its network doors.
ArcBest said it expects these measures to generate approximately $40 million in annualized cost savings.
"Bringing MoLo and Panther capabilities together under one ArcBest brand better unifies us as one team for a more coordinated experience across our solutions," said Seth Runser, ArcBest president and CEO. "Streamlining our organization and operating footprint improves efficiency, strengthens profitability and positions us to grow without compromising the service our customers rely on."
ArcBest employs more than 14,000 people and operates 250 campuses and service centers. The company serves more than 30,000 customers globally.
