Quad opens Salt Lake City packaging facility in Q4 2026
Quad/Graphics, Inc. (NYSE: QUAD) announced plans to open a new 100,000-square-foot packaging manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The new location adds to Quad's existing packaging operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Franklin, Wisconsin, as well as its international packaging facility in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The company said the Salt Lake City facility will launch with existing client volume and capacity commitments from brands headquartered in the western United States.
The facility will be equipped with a Heidelberg XL 106 press with UV capabilities, a sheeter, die cutters, and folding gluers, offering end-to-end packaging services.
"By rounding out a national manufacturing footprint for packaging, Quad is making it easier for clients to reduce lead times, improve logistics efficiency and scale packaging programs across multiple regions," said Joel Quadracci, Chairman and CEO of Quad.
Tim Ohnmacht, Division President of Quad Packaging, said the Salt Lake City location places the company closer to brands in food and beverage and health and wellness markets.
Quad employs approximately 10,000 people across 10 countries and serves approximately 2,100 clients, according to the company's press release.
