Soluna Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLNH) has appointed Ryan Carver as Chief Development Officer, effective immediately, according to a company press release.

Carver joins Soluna from Microsoft, where he most recently served as Senior Director of AI Construction and Site Development, overseeing a construction profit-and-loss portfolio valued in the tens of billions of dollars. During his tenure at Microsoft, he led construction at the company's Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin.

In his new role, Carver will oversee the full lifecycle of Soluna's AI and high-performance computing data center platform, covering site origination, power procurement, design, construction, commissioning, and operations. He will report directly to CEO John Belizaire and join Soluna's Senior Leadership Team.

"Ryan has built and delivered some of the largest, most technologically sophisticated AI data center campuses in the world, and he brings exactly the kind of end-to-end operating discipline we need as we scale," Belizaire said.

Prior to Microsoft, where he spent more than a decade in senior leadership roles across global data center construction, Carver held engineering and project management positions at Turner Construction and Jacobs, contributing to projects including World Trade Center Tower 2 and Yankee Stadium. He holds a degree in International Business from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Construction Manager. He is based in Seattle, Washington.

Soluna develops data centers co-located with renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants, to support computing applications such as Bitcoin mining and generative AI.
