Garmin (NYSE: GRMN) introduced the G2000 Prime, a new integrated flight deck designed for high-performance Class I/II piston and electric aircraft, according to a company statement released July 16, 2026.

The system features 14-inch touchscreen primary display units with edge-to-edge glass, multi-core processors, quadruple the memory of earlier systems, and gigabit connectivity described as up to 100 times faster than prior versions. Secondary display units measure 7 inches, representing a 40% increase in screen area over previous Garmin touch controllers.

The flight deck supports up to 10 simultaneous touchscreen inputs, allowing a pilot and copilot to interact with the same display at the same time. A Window Manager feature lets pilots configure all displays from a single secondary display unit.

G2000 Prime includes Garmin's Autoland system, which the company says can take complete autonomous control of an aircraft and land it during an emergency. Additional safety features include Smart Glide, Electronic Stability Protection, Emergency Descent Mode, Smart Rudder Bias, Garmin Autothrottle, and Runway Occupancy Awareness technology.

Connectivity options include LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and satellite services. The PlaneSync connected aircraft management system can automatically update databases, log flight and engine data, and allow remote monitoring via the Garmin Pilot app.

Phil Straub, Garmin Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Aviation, said the system is intended to "simplify operations, enhance situational awareness and support advanced safety-enhancing technologies."

Garmin said initial aircraft delivering with G2000 Prime will be announced by aircraft manufacturers at a later date.
