Alarm.com (Nasdaq: ALRM) has launched a fire communicator device for commercial buildings, expanding its Alarm.com for Business platform into the commercial fire monitoring category.

The Fire Communicator (ADC-FC100) uses dual-path signaling over broadband and LTE to replace legacy plain old telephone service (POTS) fire communications. The device connects to existing fire alarm control panels through phone lines or relay outputs, transmitting alarm signals to monitoring stations while simultaneously sending notifications through the Alarm.com app.

The communicator carries UL 864 listing, NFPA 72 compliance, and certifications from CSFM, LAFD, and FDNY. It also features dual-SIM capability to automatically switch carriers if one signal path is interrupted.

With the addition of fire monitoring, Alarm.com for Business now covers four commercial security categories alongside intrusion, access control, and video. Service providers manage all categories through a single portal, technician app, and billing account.

"The Fire Communicator applies that same model to commercial fire, giving service providers a simpler way to manage installations, monitoring, and customer accounts," said Dan Kerzner, President of Platforms Business at Alarm.com.

The product received a 2026 ESX Innovation Award in the Fire Detection and Life Safety Systems category.

The ADC-FC100 is now in general availability in the United States through Alarm.com for Business service provider partners and participating distributors. A Canadian release is planned for a future date.
