Piper Sandler on Coca-Cola (KO): 'Quarter looks right on track'
Piper Sandler analyst Michael S. Lavery reiterated an Overweight rating on Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO).
The analyst commented: "Quarter looks right on track. We continue to like KO as it has good momentum globally and is well positioned despite macro uncertainty. Its 2Q26 quarter looks to be ontrack with good momentum broadly and in North America (NA). Its US retail sales growth was up +4.7% in 2Q26TD, with unmeasured channels likely tracking roughly in-line with tracked channels. We model +4.0% NA organic sales growth in 2Q26. Momentum in Mexico (40-50% of LatAm's volume) is sluggish as consumers absorb higher prices driven by the Mexico sugar tax, but momentum outside LatAm is good. Lower and middle-income consumers in the EU remain resilient. It expects World Cup may add some lift, but likely less than 1pp to top-line growth globally for the year."
