LightPath Technologies gets $11M infrared camera order for C-UAS use

July 15, 2026 8:31 AM

LightPath Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: LPTH) announced it has received an $11 million follow-on purchase order for infrared cameras from an unnamed global technology customer, intended for counter-UAS (C-UAS) applications.

The Orlando, Florida-based company said the order builds on previously announced purchase orders with the same customer. The agreement includes a planned transition from Germanium-based optics to LightPath's proprietary BlackDiamond™ materials over the course of the program.

Chief Executive Officer Sam Rubin said: "This follow-on order reflects the deepening relationship with one of our most significant customers and the expanding role of our infrared camera systems in public safety applications, where reliability and performance are mission-critical."

Rubin added that the BlackDiamond™ materials are domestically produced and serve as a non-Germanium alternative, which the company says helps customers manage supply chain concerns amid tightening export restrictions on Germanium.

LightPath manufactures optics and imaging systems for defense and commercial markets, with primary operations in Orlando and additional facilities in Texas, New Hampshire, Latvia, and China.
