Phio Pharmaceuticals Corp. (NASDAQ: PHIO) announced it has received three notices of allowance and one grant decision for patents covering its INTASYL gene silencing technology in the United States, Canada, and Japan.

According to the company's press release, the new actions bring its total issued patent portfolio to 54 patents. The portfolio covers INTASYL chemistry, specific gene targets, immuno-oncology compounds, and therapeutic indications across multiple countries.

Phio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on siRNA-based cancer treatments. Its lead clinical program involves PH-762, an INTASYL compound designed to silence the PD-1 gene in skin cancers including cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma.
