July 14, 2026 4:08 PM

Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ: AEHR) announced it has received more than $8 million in new silicon carbide wafer-level burn-in orders, according to a company press release dated July 14, 2026.

The orders include a follow-on purchase of FOX WaferPak full wafer Contactors from its lead silicon carbide production customer to support expanded manufacturing capacity for electric vehicle platforms, with a focus on the China electric vehicle market. The company said the customer indicated additional capacity requirements beyond this order within Aehr's current fiscal year.

Aehr also received an order directly from one of the largest automotive companies in the world for multiple WaferPaks to be used in qualifying silicon carbide devices from suppliers for a new generation of electric vehicles.

Gayn Erickson, President and CEO of Aehr Test Systems, said the automotive order reflects engagement with "one of the top two leading automotive companies in the world" that is using Aehr's systems to evaluate silicon carbide suppliers globally for planned electric vehicle programs.

Erickson also noted that Aehr secured its first silicon carbide customer in Taiwan during the prior quarter, adding a presence in another semiconductor manufacturing region serving automotive and industrial markets.

The company said it is engaged with several large automotive companies and silicon carbide device manufacturers that are evaluating wafer-level burn-in for production use in next-generation electric vehicle platforms.
