Pluri in talks with EIB over €20M loan resolution
Pluri Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUR) remains in discussions with the European Investment Bank (EIB) over a potential resolution regarding a €20 million loan that was scheduled to mature on June 1, 2026, according to a company statement.
The loan represents the first tranche of a broader finance agreement between the EIB and Pluri, along with its subsidiaries Pluri Biotech Ltd. and Pluristem GmbH, that provided for up to €50 million in total funding. The disbursed €20 million tranche, issued in June 2021, carries an interest rate of 4% per annum.
On April 21, 2026, the EIB notified Pluri that it was reserving all of its rights under the finance agreement while discussions on potential alternatives, including a possible extension of the maturity date, were ongoing. On May 28, 2026, the EIB confirmed that both parties were engaged in good-faith discussions aimed at reaching a mutually agreed resolution, and indicated that no enforcement action was contemplated while talks continued, with negotiations not expected to extend beyond July 3, 2026.
Following that date, Pluri said discussions with the EIB remain active. The EIB has indicated that talks are advancing and are subject to its internal approval process and legal review. Pluri noted that no assurance can be given that required approvals will be obtained, that a definitive resolution will be reached, or that the EIB will continue to refrain from exercising remedies available under the finance agreement.
