Virtu Financial posts Q2 2026 preliminary results, seeks $400M loan
Virtu Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VIRT) released preliminary estimated results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, alongside the launch of marketing for $400 million in incremental first lien term loans, according to a company press release.
The proposed debt would bring Virtu's total term loan balance under its senior secured credit facility to $1.93 billion. Final second-quarter results are scheduled to be reported on July 30, 2026.
On a preliminary basis, the company estimated net income of $285 million for the quarter, with basic and diluted earnings per share of $1.63. Trading income, net, was estimated at $857 million, while Adjusted Net Trading Income, a non-GAAP measure, was estimated at $718 million, with an average daily figure of $11.6 million.
Adjusted EBITDA, also a non-GAAP measure, was estimated at $437 million for the quarter, compared with $369 million in the same period a year earlier. Normalized Adjusted Net Income was estimated at $292 million, with Normalized Adjusted EPS of $1.82, compared with $244 million and $1.53, respectively, in the second quarter of 2025.
The preliminary figures have not been audited or reviewed by the company's independent registered public accounting firm and are subject to revision as Virtu completes its quarterly closing procedures. The company noted that final results may differ materially from these estimates.
