Dream Finders Homes names ex-Lennar CEO Rick Beckwitt as co-chairman

Dream Finders Homes (NYSE: DFH) has appointed Rick Beckwitt to its board of directors as co-chairman, the Jacksonville, Florida-based homebuilder announced.

Beckwitt will share board leadership responsibilities with Patrick Zalupski, the company's founder and chief executive officer, who will also hold the co-chairman title.

Beckwitt most recently served as co-chief executive officer and co-president of Lennar Corporation before retiring in 2023. During his tenure at Lennar, which began in 2006, he held several executive roles including executive vice president, president, and chief executive officer. Before Lennar, he served in executive roles at D.R. Horton, including president. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at Lehman Brothers and later founded EVP Capital, L.P., a venture capital and real estate advisory firm.

Beckwitt currently serves on the boards of Eagle Material, Ferguson Enterprises, and Weyerhaeuser Company.

Zalupski said in a statement that Beckwitt's "homebuilding leadership and strategic operating experience further strengthens our board as we continue executing our long-term growth strategy."

Beckwitt graduated with honors from Claremont McKenna College.
