Xanadu Quantum Technologies (NASDAQ: XNDU) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announced an expansion of their collaboration to scale quantum computing training through Lockheed Martin's internal Quantum Talent Pipeline (QTP) program, according to a press release dated July 14, 2026.

The QTP program identifies Lockheed Martin engineers from varied technical backgrounds, including mechanical engineering and computer science, and provides them with quantum computing skills. As part of the expanded collaboration, QTP participants will use Xanadu's PennyLane quantum programming platform, along with interactive tutorials, coding exercises, and structured learning pathways.

Xanadu's team will also deliver dedicated workshops covering quantum programming, algorithms, and applications in aerospace and defense research. Participants will have access to Xanadu's quantum simulators and hardware through PennyLane.

Dani Couger, Quantum Technologies Lead for Lockheed Martin, said the program is aimed at positioning the company for adoption of next-generation computing technologies in aerospace and national security.

The two companies have a previously announced research relationship, most recently centered on a joint Quantum Machine Learning initiative. The QTP collaboration is set to expand to additional cohorts across Lockheed Martin's engineering workforce, with broader access to Xanadu's tools and educational content planned.

Xanadu, founded in 2016 and based in Toronto, has raised more than $500 million in funding and develops both quantum hardware and software, including its open-source PennyLane platform.
