Space Ground System Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN), has been awarded a $245 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory to support satellite ground systems over a five-year period.

The contract covers software development, sustainment, and operations support for critical satellite mission systems at the Blossom Point Tracking Facility in Maryland. Work includes designing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing mission-critical software modules, along with configuration control and cybersecurity for space and ground systems supporting national security missions.

Under the contract, Parsons will continue development of two NRL-owned applications: Neptune, software for automated satellite command and control and ground equipment management, and the Virtual Mission Operations Center for satellite mission management.

According to the company's press release, this award extends a 30-year relationship between Parsons and the Naval Research Laboratory supporting the Blossom Point Tracking Facility.
