July 13, 2026 4:05 PM

Trex Company (NYSE: TREX) announced a realignment of its North American distribution network, naming Specialty Building Products (SBP) as its sole national distributor of decking and railing products, while expanding regional partnerships and raising its full-year 2026 financial guidance.

As part of the changes, Trex will transition away from Boise Cascade as a distributor. In addition to SBP handling national distribution, Trex is expanding regional coverage with WS Building Materials across parts of the Midwest and mid-Atlantic, Coastal Forest Products in New England, and BlueLinx in the South Central region.

SBP, which began distributing Trex products in 2002, expanded its North American footprint through its acquisition of OrePac in 2025.

Trex also reported preliminary second-quarter 2026 net sales of approximately $418 million, above its prior guidance range of $388 million to $403 million. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter is expected to be approximately $112 million. These figures are preliminary and subject to change upon completion of standard closing procedures.

The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance. Net sales are now projected at $1.215 billion to $1.250 billion, with adjusted EBITDA of $335 million to $350 million. Additional guidance includes depreciation and amortization of approximately $85 million, SG&A of approximately 18% of net sales, interest expense of $8 million to $10 million, an effective tax rate of 25.5% to 27.0%, and capital expenditures of $100 million to $120 million.

Trex said it will work with all distribution partners during the transition to maintain uninterrupted product availability, including at major home centers.
