Investing.com -- Cerebras Systems announced plans earlier on Friday to add 200 megawatts of data center capacity in Europe by 2027, according to a note from UBS analysts.

The investment bank said the expansion provides more detail about the European and Nordic data centers that Cerebras first mentioned during its earnings call last month. UBS said the move helps reduce concerns about OpenAI's Tranche 1 deployment, noting that investors have expressed worry about Cerebras being relatively new to the cloud and colocation leasing market.

Cerebras plans to bring its first European data center capacity online by the end of 2026, with the full 200MW expected by the end of 2027. UBS estimates the company previously had approximately 150MW to 200MW of announced contracted capacity across projects in the United States and Canada.

The bank noted that with approximately 400MW of the 500MW needed for the first two tranches now secured, confidence increases in the OpenAI deployment while providing flexibility for additional business opportunities. UBS mentioned enterprise customers including Figma and AlphaSense as potential beneficiaries as these sites come online over the next four to six quarters.

The new European capacity adds to previously disclosed infrastructure commitments, including facilities with Nautilus, Colovore, Digi Power X, WhiteFiber, Scale, and Bell's 300MW facility announced in March 2026. UBS estimates Cerebras now has visibility to approximately 410MW of announced contracted power capacity.
