Enovix names former Apple operations executive as new COO
Enovix Corporation (Nasdaq: ENVX) announced that Dr. Michael Vyvoda will join the company as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 29, 2026. Vyvoda previously served as Director of Product Operations for Audio Products at Apple, where he helped scale AirPods manufacturing to high-volume production across multiple Asian manufacturing sites.
Vyvoda will report to President and CEO Dr. Raj Talluri and will oversee Enovix's global manufacturing, supply chain, and operations engineering organizations. Three senior leaders will report directly to him: Kihong Park, who heads Global Manufacturing Operations; Ed Casey, who leads Advanced Manufacturing Engineering; and James Wilcox, Vice President of Strategic Sourcing.
Before joining Enovix, Vyvoda served as COO at Magrathea Metals and previously as COO at Aircapture. His career also includes senior roles at ThinFilm Electronics, GT Advanced Technologies, Twin Creeks Technologies, SanDisk, and Matrix Semiconductor. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
The appointment comes as Enovix reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $7.6 million, a 49% increase year over year. The company said its pipeline for Korea-manufactured products has expanded to more than $130 million. Enovix received its first commercial production order of approximately 50,000 units for a silicon-anode battery for smart eyewear and recently launched its MX-1 platform targeting drone and defense markets.
Enovix operates manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Korea, with research and development operations in India. The company develops lithium-ion batteries using proprietary silicon-anode architectures for smartphones, smart eyewear, defense, and industrial applications.
