Polestar (Nasdaq: PSNY) reported estimated retail sales of 30,423 cars in the first half of 2026, a 0.4% increase from 30,289 cars in the same period a year earlier, according to a company press release.

Second-quarter retail sales totaled an estimated 17,296 cars, down 4.0% from 18,026 cars in Q2 2025.

Excluding the U.S. business, first-half sales reached 28,562 cars, up 3.1% from 27,712 in H1 2025. The company noted that U.S. figures are reported separately following a decision by U.S. authorities related to the Connected Vehicle Rule. Excluding the U.S., Q2 sales were 16,175 cars, down 3.9% from 16,818 in Q2 2025.

CEO Michael Lohscheller said the company's retail sales network has grown to 235 sites, a 39% increase compared to the prior year. He cited the UK, Germany, South Korea, and the Iberia region as markets showing growth.

Polestar said first customer deliveries of the Polestar 5 are set to begin, and production of the Polestar 4 SUV has started, with first deliveries expected in the fourth quarter.
