UNFI names new CFO and reshuffles senior leadership team
United Natural Foods, Inc. (NYSE: UNFI) announced a series of leadership changes effective August 3, 2026, including a new chief financial officer and revised roles for two existing executives.
Matteo Tarditi, who previously served as president and CFO, will transition to the role of president and chief operating officer, taking on responsibility for product sales, enterprise customer relationships, supply chain operations, technology, and lean implementation.
Louis Martin will serve as chief commercial officer, focusing on merchandising, supplier partnerships, private brands, digital services, and revenue growth management.
Alfredo Luchini will join UNFI as CFO beginning August 10, 2026. He previously served as vice president of finance and CFO for Carrier Climate Solutions Americas, overseeing finance for an $11 billion business segment of Carrier Global Corporation.
CEO Sandy Douglas said the changes reflect "the strength of our team and our commitment to aligning our leadership structure with the next chapter of UNFI's value creation strategy."
Mark Bushway, currently president of natural, organic, specialty and fresh products and chief supply chain officer, will leave the company on January 1, 2027. He will remain in the chief supply chain officer role during the transition period. Douglas noted Bushway's 23-year tenure at UNFI in a statement accompanying the announcement.
Tarditi, Martin, and Luchini will report directly to Douglas as members of the senior leadership team.
