APA Corporation releases Q2 2026 preliminary financial data

APA Corporation (Nasdaq: APA) released preliminary second-quarter 2026 financial and operational data, including estimated average realized prices, production updates, and share repurchase activity.

According to the press release, APA's estimated average realized oil price in the United States was $93.20 per barrel, while international operations averaged $99.90 per barrel. U.S. natural gas liquids averaged $25.10 per barrel domestically and $73.40 per barrel internationally. U.S. natural gas realizations were negative at ($2.20) per Mcf, while international natural gas averaged $4.80 per Mcf.

APA curtailed approximately 137 MMcf per day of U.S. natural gas production and 12,300 barrels per day of U.S. natural gas liquids production during the quarter, citing weak or negative Waha hub prices.

The company reported Egypt tax barrels of 36 MBoe per day, dry hole costs of $41 million before tax, and a net gain on oil and gas purchases and sales of $345 million before tax, which includes a $109 million realized loss from commodity derivatives.

APA's estimated weighted-average basic common shares for the second quarter stand at 353 million. The company repurchased 2.8 million shares at an average price of $35.25 per share during the quarter.

General and administrative expenses for the quarter totaled $65 million, including approximately $10 million in stock-based compensation.

APA is scheduled to host a conference call to discuss full second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. Central time.
