Costco reports 10.6% net sales rise for June retail month
Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ: COST) reported net sales of $29.24 billion for the five weeks ended July 5, 2026, a 10.6% increase from $26.44 billion during the same period last year.
For the first 44 weeks of the fiscal year, net sales reached $250.43 billion, up 10.1% from $227.46 billion in the prior-year period.
Comparable sales for the five-week period rose 8.8% companywide, with U.S. locations up 10.6%, Canada up 3.7%, and other international markets up 4.7%. Digitally-enabled sales increased 20.9% during the same period.
For the 44-week period, total comparable sales grew 8.3%, with the U.S. up 7.9%, Canada up 8.5%, and other international markets up 10.1%. Digitally-enabled sales rose 21.5% over the same stretch.
Excluding the effects of changes in gasoline prices and foreign exchange, total comparable sales for the five-week period increased 7.0%, and 6.7% for the 44-week period. Digitally-enabled comparable sales, on the same adjusted basis, were up 21.5% and 21.1% for the respective periods.
