SBC Medical to open men's beard hair removal clinic in Tokyo
SBC Medical Group Holdings Incorporated (Nasdaq: SBC) announced it will open SBC Men's Flash Clinic Ikebukuro in Tokyo on August 6, 2026, a clinic dedicated exclusively to men's beard hair removal.
The company claims the clinic is the first of its kind in Japan, based on its own research as of June 2026. The location is situated on the eighth floor of Sanchu Building in Toshima-ku, Tokyo, and will operate daily from 10:00 to 20:00, closed on Fridays.
According to the press release, the clinic offers a six-session beard hair removal course priced at ¥16,800. The clinic operates on a cashless payment system with no sales consultations.
SBC Medical describes the clinic format as compact, standardized, and replicable, with intentions to deploy it across its existing nationwide network. The company said the model is also intended to serve as a testing environment for AI-enabled operational workflows, data-driven scheduling, and process automation.
The announcement referenced data from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) Global Survey 2024, which indicated that aesthetic procedures performed on men increased 6.3% from 2023 to 2024, while procedures for women declined 3.9% over the same period. Japan recorded approximately 1.63 million aesthetic procedures in 2024, according to the same survey.
SBC Medical operates as a Medical Services Organization providing management support across healthcare fields including aesthetic healthcare, dermatology, orthopedics, fertility treatment, and ophthalmology. The company listed on Nasdaq in September 2024 and was added to the Russell 3000® Index in June 2025.
