Wrap Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: WRAP) has entered into a strategic transaction with Israeli AI-sensing company Frenel Imaging Ltd., securing exclusive distribution rights to Frenel's physics-based imaging technology in the United States and NATO member countries, according to a statement from the company.

The technology, which the company says can detect drones that have reduced their electronic signatures, will be integrated into WrapShield, Wrap Technologies' counter-unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and public-safety platform.

Wrap Technologies said the agreement positions the company to address growing drone-related security challenges facing law enforcement, military installations, and critical infrastructure operators. The company cited incidents including repeated drone incursions at Langley Air Force Base that disrupted flight operations, as well as drone use by criminal organizations at border crossings and correctional facilities.

The company's existing product portfolio includes the BolaWrap 150 non-lethal restraint device, the WrapReality virtual reality training platform, the WrapVision body-worn camera system, and counter-drone products including the PAN-DA system and the 1KC Kinetic Anti-Drone Cassette.

Financial terms of the transaction with Frenel Imaging Ltd. were not disclosed in the statement.
