Innoviz partners with AeroNous to add LiDAR to counter-drone platform

Innoviz Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: INVZ) announced a collaboration to integrate its LiDAR technology into AeroNous Solutions Ltd.'s command-and-control platform for counter-unmanned aerial system (counter-UAS) operations.

Under the agreement, Innoviz's centimeter-level 3D localization technology will be embedded into AeroNous' open-architecture platform, which unifies sensors, effectors, and third-party data sources into a single operational picture for detecting, tracking, and responding to aerial threats.

AeroNous, an Israeli technology company and part of the Israel Shipyards Industries Group, said it evaluated available sensing technologies before selecting Innoviz's existing LiDAR products. The company said it plans to deploy the capability across defense, homeland security, critical infrastructure, and maritime security applications.

Meir Ben-Shaya, founder and CEO of AeroNous, said the collaboration reflects the company's approach to integrating technologies to support operator response to drone threats. "As drone threats become increasingly sophisticated, operators require precise and reliable tracking capabilities to support timely and informed responses," he said.

Omer Keilaf, founder and CEO of Innoviz, said the integration provides operators with a precise, continuously updated 3D coordinate on a threat. "Our LiDAR gives operators a precise, continuously updated 3D coordinate on a threat, not an estimate," he said.

Innoviz, headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, supplies LiDAR sensor platforms to automotive manufacturers and operates across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The company's InnovizSMART product line targets security, defense, homeland security, and other non-automotive applications.
